Goal: Create a book cover for a local ‘happiness expert’. This was originally supposed to be just for an e-book, but evolved into an e-book cover, print cover, and self-publishing logo.
Process:
The client reached out to me about designing a cover for her upcoming e-book. We talked a lot about what colors she gravitated towards and she provided examples of book covers that she liked. We settled on eye-catching purples and a photo-style background.
I checked in three times, first to confirm the text layout, then the artwork, then the final layout. Here is what we came up with for the e-book:
A few months later, the client requested a print version of the book cover, along with a quick logo for her publishing company. The logo was a fun, straightforward hummingbird theme:
